Join us on Sunday, May 1st, following church for a light soup an bread luncheon as we learn a little about what is happening in Syria. The migrant crisis has been going on for years, since the Syrian Civil War began in 2011, but it’s only been in the last year or so that the haunting images of families traveling hundreds of miles to Europe are now capturing the world’s attention. Our guest speakers are from the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) and are looking to raise awareness and support. The amazing cookbook – Soup for Syria – will be available for purchase with proceeds to going to help SAMS.
