Your First Sunday
10:00 a.m. Worship Service
(Childcare for ages 4 and younger is available).
When people are looking for a new church, most like to get a sense of things by coming to the weekly worship service. Sunday morning services are the heartbeat of our life as a faith community as we gather to grow in faith and to discern how we might serve others in the world. All are welcome here – whoever you are and wherever you’re coming from. After the service, we would be delighted to welcome you for coffee hour in the parish hall and to answer any questions you may have.
If you would prefer to just get a quick sense of things and head out, that’s fine, too. We won’t ask you to stand up and introduce yourself or pester you to sign up for things. Just get to know us at your own pace.
Getting Here
You may park on the side of the church, in the public lot behind the church (which is free on Sundays), or in front of the church on the street (also free on Sundays). When you enter the building, someone will be there to greet you, hand you a worship bulletin, and answer any questions you may have.
Being Here
Sit wherever you like. During our worship service, we sing hymns, listen to music, have silent prayers and unison prayers and prayers that name the joys and concerns of our lives. We listen to Biblical stories to hear how God was experienced by the early people of our faith tradition. We hear a sermon aimed to teach, challenge, and transform us by relating these stories to our modern lives. And on the first and third Sundays of the month, we celebrate the sacrament of communion. You are invited to participate in all facets of worship as you feel comfortable. If you would just like to sit quietly and take it all in, that’s also totally fine.
Meeting Here
After the worship service, you will have an opportunity to meet some folks from our church family, say hello to the pastor, or learn a bit more about what is happening in the life of our church. You can stay in the sanctuary or join us for our coffee hour in the Parish Hall. Your choice. And we hope you’ll stay in touch with us afterwards.
